We are kicking off the week and taking a closer look at the theme of the day: Social Security. This session will focus on social security and explore specifically the role of benefit take-up in maximising incomes and acting as a stepping stone to building a stronger, fairer social security system. We will be focusing on the essential role of advice and support services in helping people navigate social security and access their rights (and will be considering the action needed from both the Scottish and UK Governments to increase take-up, reduce stigma and ensure support reaches the communities who need it most.
